I normally don’t find these kind of leaves attractive. But as I was walking through the park the other morning, the illumination from the morning sunlight through the leaves caught my attention.

In turn, I think this photo illuminates a life-truth. On our own, our lives may seem unattractive or mundane. But when illuminated with God’s love, there’s something more that catches the eye. It may be a kind word or a simple deed of service toward another person. It may be an act of fresh kindness. Or it may be a moment of wisdom that surpasses our own experience.

If we remain open to both the people around us and to God’s desire to act in their lives, we may find our lives to be illuminated with love.
